Coordinates of GUITexture

Hi, all! My game has been going along nicely, but now I have discovered that OnGUI is not going to work out for me -_- I know, I know, Unity's GUI system sucks right now, and I know that they will be coming out with a better one in the near future. I'm a hobbyist and would much rather not spend money on other solutions.

So!

I have some on-screen prompts that follow an empty in 3D space. They fade in or out depending how close / far away they are from the camera. I was using OnGUI for this but then discovered I can only alter the alpha of the whole gui system, which would only allow me to have one prompt on the screen at once.

So I have decided to move to GUITextures, which is fine...

But a lot of my HUD elements work off of sprite sheets (Like, one of them is a set of all symbols for the different types of guns) and it would be a pain in the rear to crop them all out or re-render them perfectly.

So I was wondering if there was a way for me to alter the coordinates / size of a GUITextures area on an image. Almost like you would use GUI.DrawTextureWithCoords.

Thanks! - YA

Consider to use GUI.DrawTexture() in OnGUI()
