Question by liortal · Aug 10, 2014 at 09:16 AM · c#editor-scriptingeditorwindow

Filtering project window to ONLY selected objects

I am using the Selection class's API to select objects, e.g:

 Selection.objects = myObjectArray;

I'd like the project view to filter its display to ONLY the objects that i have selected (similar to what happens if you right-click on some object and pick "Select Dependencies").

I could not find any API to do this sort of operation.

So you want the project window to filter just like it would when you search for something?

Yes. But the "Select dependencies" option does not exactly work like that. It filters the project window to just the dependencies, but does not seem to use the filter text field.

"Select Dependencies" for me, shows the deps in the inspector window, it doesn't narrow the results in the project window...

Weird. I get the results directly in the project window

I just double checked - it appears in the project window. I am using version 4.5.2 on OSX.
