Compiling to Linux with Dependencies
I need to compile my game for Linux from our development environment in Windows, and I'm confused about some things. We are using Unity 5.1.3.
Even when compiling for Linux, the folder is filled with ".dll" files which I've always understood to be used exclusively with Windows...
.dlls are native Windows byte-code, correct? or are they .Net byte-code when using C#?
For example: my project uses the protobuf-net for net communications and serialization. Will I need to remake all the data formats using a different tool that is compatible with Linux, or does Unity, in the compilation process, take care of the platform specific elements?
