Deploying windows exe requires installer?
I had thought the Unity Windows extension would build a self-contained exe but it appears that deploying a windows .exe requires an auxiliary folder as well?
I renamed an exe and I get the error that the corresponding folder must exist as well.
Does this mean an installer is required?

Well, depends on what you mean by "required". You can of course deliver the exe and the folder in a zip file and have the user unzip to play. That's kinda like an installer, but is not what you mean probably.
