texturecompression16 bits
16-bit compression makes textures transparent?
Since the update to Unity 4.5, I noticed that setting semi-transparent textures to 16-bit compression (default on Android), otherwhise completely opaque areas are now also transparent. Is this a bug?
Here's a screenshot of two 2D sprites (the truecolor version looks right):
and here's the actual texture:

Ok, sry for this. I'm gonna answer my own question. It's apparently a bug that will already be fixed in the next release: http://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/using-directx11-textures-become-transparent
As for now: go to player settings and disable DirectX11.
