iBeacon waking up Unity iOS App?
iBeacons have the ability to wake up iOS apps automatically - the idea being that when the user passes an iBeacon the app will be started for a few seconds by CoreLocation so it could do things like send PushNotifications or store some data. This works by the OS automatically booting the app into the background and calling the CLLocationManagerDelegate methods when an iBeacon is passed.
What I'd like to do is for the OS to boot the app into the background but not to execute all of the Unity code - the second it hits anything to do with OpenGL or anything like that then it's going to be automatically killed. Is that possible? In that case I could save some data during the CLLocationManagerDelegate methods which I could then access the next time the app boots in the foreground.
Any helps or tips on this would be much appreciated!
