Question by dave_mm0 · Jun 27, 2014 at 08:41 PM · visual studiowindows store app

Windows Store - Visual Studio Command Line exited with code 1

Hi, I have a very simple project which works fine. The problem is that when I build for windows store, and build the VS2013 solution, I get the following error:

Error 1 The command "echo UnityInstallationDir 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Unity\Editor'
 echo UnityProjectDir 'C:\Users\Dave\Documents\UnityProjects\Dribble'
 echo Copying assemblies...
 copy /Y "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\Unprocessed\*" "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\"
 echo Running AssemblyConverter...
 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Unity\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\MetroSupport\Tools\AssemblyConverter.exe" -platform=wsa80 "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\\Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll" "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\\Assembly-CSharp.dll" "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\\P31RestKit.dll" "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\\UnityEngine.dll" "C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\Builds\Dribble_WinStore\Dribble\\WinRTLegacy.dll"
 echo AssemblyConverter done.
" exited with code 1. Dribble

I don't know why "echo" would ever fail... ANyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks!

Hi guys,

I got similar problems. Did you know, you can see more details about the error by changing the tap (Error List to Output).

For me, the error did not happened in the echo, its actually the assembly converter:

 1> Running AssemblyConverter...
1> System.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
 1> bei Unity.AssemblyWrapper.AddType(TypeReference type)

 1>     bei Unity.Operation.Execute()
 1> bei Unity.Program.$$anonymous$$ain(String[] args)

Looks like other people have similar issues, but could not find any solution too -_-
