Player Camera Spline messes up camera direction
Hi everyone!
First time poster, general noob. This is an incredible community - I've tried my best to research and did my due diligence for hours but couldn't find an answer.
My problem is this: I'm having my player camera "fly through" the level as it starts, using unify's Spline Controller. But as soon as the camera does a full circle and goes back to where it was meant to start, I've found a really weird bug - if I move the mouse at all from the moment of beginning the game and until the camera "lands" from the spline, it messes up my camera/player relationship - i.e hitting "W" makes me go sideways or backwards, and so forth.
If I don't touch my mouse until the spline motion is done, there's no problem.
What's the best way to deal with this? I've tried everything from disabling both my mouselook scripts (camera and player) for the period of the spline, to resetting my camera and character's rotation - but I don't think I did anything particularly well, because none of that worked. If I move my mouse at all during the spline, it messes up the camera/character relationship. I don't think I was actually able to disable anything.
This seems like a REALLY simple problem and if I were any less of a beginner I'd probably have figured it out long ago. I'd be more than happy to attach my (probably faulty) code for the mouselook disabling scripts, but I was hoping someone would have a more elegant solution to this or has encountered this before. Spline is really useful but, well, I need a playable character that walks where you want it to...
Thanks!
Michael
