Are MovieTextures a feature of Unity Pro?
Hi there,
the title pretty much sums it up. I'm using Windows (Quicktime is installed) + Unity 5.2 Personal and I'm trying to import a .MP4 video which seems pretty easy on the manual page but everytime I import a video it stays all black and I can't even play the video clicking on the preview button. Is this feature only available on Unity Pro? If so, it would be nice to have a warning on the manual page or in the editor..
Thank you,
David.
No. The Free VS Pro feature divide doesnt exist any more.
Perhaps that movie has encoding that Unity doesn't support, but Quicktime does?
@Jim_Zee_$$anonymous$$ing @Teravisor below is an image of information pulled from VLC regarding the codec used. I've tried other .$$anonymous$$P4 videos that use the same codec and everything worked fine.. maybe an error occurred when I exported the original video.
