Rigidbody2D.position and Rigidbody2D.MovePosition()

In FixedUpdate() i make multiple assignments to Rigidbody2D.position to use Rigidbody2D.Cast() from different positions, and then based on result I determine final position and call Rigidbody2D.MovePosition(). If movement is set to be interpolated, will it be from initial position to destination, or from recent Rigidbody2D.position value to destination?
