Unity simple water - Creating waves.
Could anyone advise me on creation waves within unity? This could be with the simple water asset or a coloured plane.
The effect I'm trying to achieve is simple in the sense that I'd like the flat plane to be slightly wavy in real time to produce a simple water effect. I thought about approaches to this and implementing some sort of sine wave displacement to the mesh would be an answer but I could be wrong.
How to do this in C# would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
Euden

You could use Bump mapping to simulate the effect of waves. Move the normal/displacement textures via script each frame to make them move.
