Sprite Failing to Load into Scene

Hi guys. I am really new to Unity and I am having some issue loading a sprite to my 2D game scene. alt text

As you can see, I have loaded the "Player" sprite onto the map, have set the render order to 4, the same as the "Tree Tops" objects, and have set the X coordinate between the map and camera. I am really not sure as to why it is not loading. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Below is the sprite I am trying to load.

All textures, sprites, and objects pulled from Opengameart.org

What's the Z coordinate of your camera and background? (And, unrelated, why are you using such large x and y values? Your game would be better off centred around (0,0))

The units are huge, and I'm not sure why. I loaded a 20x24 tile map at 32x32px per tile from Tiled using Tile2Unity. It seemed to load fine, then the numbers when I moved positions were massive. Also the map is at Z0, camera at Z-619 and Player sprite at Z-1
