Asset Server too slow for update can we drop in build from drive ?
Hi Guys,
Quick question from a Unity noob !!
I'm in the process of using the Asset Server to download versioned assets from a project I am working on Now the build is around 60 gig and its looking at taking about 4 days which barring crashes is a little slow.... ;0 Does Unity do anything in the background when downloading that would negate getting a drive of the latest build and adding it to unity that way ? Otherwise we have a long painful few days praying for no crashes or internet dropouts...
Cheers !
Chris

Don't try to download 60 GB of data from the server. Just zip your development folder and send it, have them unzip it, login with their own users and passwords. Unity will work just fine.
My folder is around 9 GB but my server is in US but me and my teammates are living in different countries. Downloading 200 MB of change becomes a pain, so more than 1 gb of change, I just zip the folder and send them.
