Audio Distortion effects?

We found a way by accident to speed up and slow down a music clip but it opened up the question as to what other audio distortion effects are possible to do in Unity?

I closed this because now with the release of Unity 5 it's possible to do this, however if anyone knows of other ways to achieve cool audio effects outside of the built in filters please let me know as it would be very useful to us. ;)
