[Video]Strange UI Behaviour, possible bug?
This is using the Unity 4.6 UI
Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_mpKL9QTss
basically, what happens is I set a canvas(which is the child of another canvas) to be enabled, but it doesn't show up on the screen, until another component is updated. The updated component does not have anything to do with the Canvas that should be displayed.
Process for this video:
Application starts - Canvas(Box) is NOT enbaled
Application runs method, - Canvas(Box) is set to ENABLED
Canvas(Box) is not displayed on the screen, however is shown as enabled in the inspector.
Canvas(Box) will start rendering only after you render a component on a seperate object, with no attachment to Canvas(Box)
@Incorrect - Thanks, updated the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_mp$$anonymous$$L9QTss
What do you mean by 'another component' which needs to be updated so the canvas can be seen? Also can you seen this canvas in editor?
@incorrect - I posted a video because it was hard to explain, can you still not view it?
$$anonymous$$ay it be that they are somehow z-fighting or something like this? I still had no time to play with this new GUI system but there can be some properties like depth that can cause conflicts in drawing order of UI.
