Terrain import detail texture

Hi, everyone.

I have been making the Golf game by using Unity 3D. Then, I am going to making the Course by the using not mesh , but unity terrain. Well, I have trouble solving this problems. I want to know How can I use the texture made from 3D_max in the Unity terrain with same details?

Could you tell me how can I solving this problem?

You don't. You make it entirely in one, or the other. Preforably Unity for this kind of stuff, since it's better supported.

Not sure how $$anonymous$$ax makes terrain textures, but if you had 1 big terrain tex, say, you could stretch it over the entire terrain by upping the tile size, but it would be a seriously large texture.

You know, in the Unity $$anonymous$$anual? If you read it through, you probably wouldn't need this site as much.
