Generic Mecanim Model Rotation Not Centered
Here you can see an image of my mecanim animation preview:
The model is, essentially, not pointed forward. On other animations I am able to just set the rotation to make an appropriate offset though it doesn't seem to work with this specific animation.
No idea why one animation would have this problem or if there's another way for me to make the model always point forward so to speak. It's obviously a problem if, when entering a walk cycle, the character suddenly just turns 75 degrees. Maybe there's a work around in the animation controller as well.
Any thoughts as to why this might be happening? I really don't know what to check after the rotation offset.
This is a generic model, not a humanoid. Ideally it would be the latter, but before sending this back to an animator I'd like to see if I could solve it in Unity.
