How does compressing Looping Wav Files work?
I'm currently building a mobile game and my composer has given me looping wav music files that are very high quality (40-60mb apiece). It's important these tracks loop, so converting to MP3 isn't an option as it inserts silence breaking the loop. I have imported it, and set it up as compressed, reducing quality to 128kbps (which brought file size down to 5-6mb). My question is, when I do a build to submit to Apple, will these files be compressed and retain their looping quality? How does the compression work? I'm going to want to get the size of the game down under the 100mb limit at some point and would love to understand how this works.
Thanks in advance for any help.
