How can i change the mesh shape of an object in unity?
I have a rigid-body, when it falls on ground or collide with obstacle i want to show the damage of that rigid-body, like in some racing games damage shown of the car when it hit with obstacle. How can i achieve damage shape effect? How can i change the mesh shape?
Try taking a look at the mesh class, I think you would want to make the mesh you are defor$$anonymous$$g its own instance at the start of a race if you are able, as opposed to altering the 'shared$$anonymous$$esh' as this would change all instances of the model as far as I am aware.
Warning: continual mesh changes are not very efficient I believe (untested on my part) You might consider an effect more similar to how bullet 'holes' are created in games using decal textures (and bump maps) so fake the effect.
