Monodevelop will not open?

Hey guys, I am brand new to unity and just started a game, I was testing codes and Mono develop stopped working, what i mean is whenever I attempted to open a script the Mono develop flashes on my screen the closes. If anyone knows what i have done that'd be AWESOME! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try syncing the $$anonymous$$onoDevelop project by going to Assets/Sync $$anonymous$$onoDevelop Project in Unity. It's a pretty finicky bastard that $$anonymous$$D. If you're using Windows I'd recommend you checkout Visual Studio. Alas, if you're on a $$anonymous$$ac then you're screwed! :)

Thanks! syncing didn't do anything but the visual studio will be just fine:)
