Unity Web Player problem - Installing and nothing else ANSWER
HI GUYS I THINK I'VE CRACKED IT
Its a hidden plug in in your browser (mine is Firefox) which you cant see. Making any further versions incompatible and preventing them from working. I must have downloaded the plugin in my many may many many many many..you get the picture ( just imagine your partner just finished your game and sent it to you and you couldnt view it) many times I tried to work out what the "£$%^& was going on. Just go to your browsers adress bar and type in about:plugins and it will show you all your browsers plugins you have installed or have been auto installed and you have no way of removing. AND they are no where else to be seen thats why you couldnt find them in your program Un-installer they arent shown there. Hmmm nice helpful little arrangement that is.
SO what to do - the about:plugins will show you the name of the file and the path copy its name and search for it on your computer and rename it with an x infront of its name and that will supposedly delete it. After the nite mare I had been through I wasnt taking anyone elses word so I then searched for it with the new xname and sureenough there it was. Probably diempowered by the new name but just to be sure I then left it with its wrong name and deleted it. Then check about:plugins and it had gone. And guess what?
Yes after for the 60th time uninstalling all unity from computer and the fresh installing the latest version of uity web player .... it works!!!
Hope this helps someone and prevents them having to go through what I just experienced reading all these BUM Steers
