Physics Seem Broken When Loading a New Scene
I don't really know how to address this issue, nor how to reliably reproduce it.
I am making a "game" that I am totally aware is rudimentary in nature. Essentially, you use WADS (or other forms of input, but that's not relevant for the problem) to move the game board and the ball will roll, hopefully toward the goal.
I am using a game controller with dontDestroyOnLoad to keep the data that I want stored and I am loading new scenes (the ones included are placeholders) via Application.loadLevel("level name").
What is really odd is that randomly, upon loading a new level, the ball's physics will not function at all. The board can be moved, but it will not interact with the ball and the ball will not experience gravity for a while, usually once the game board has already passed through it. I say randomly because it doesn't happen every level. I say that I can't reliably reproduce the issue because I can't figure out what exactly causes the issue, and therefore I can't properly troubleshoot and attempt to fix it.
Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone offer some idea of where to look to fix it? It does it in desktop builds, web player builds, and in editor testing, so I doubt that it has anything to do with the underlying Unity code. It's probably my fault, but I can't seem to figure out what I did (or didn't do).
The web player is available here: http://cdn.6fpsnetwork.com/wcupa/csc490/build20150310/build-2015.03.10.html A source code repository is available here: https://bitbucket.org/TrueKam/rolling-ball A source download is available here: https://bitbucket.org/TrueKam/rolling-ball/get/5354c0db152b.zip
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
