"Interrupted" Particle Emission?
Hey, I want to add a smith to my scene. I have a bvh-animation of a person that is using a hammer to hit something, and I have the sparks-package from here: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/485166/fire-sparks-particle.html Now the only remaining obstacle is this: What do I have to modify so that the sparks are only emitted whenever the hammer comes down to whatever it is hitting?

I would probably set the ParticleSystem's emission rate to 0 (in the "Emission" tab of the ParticleSystem configuration) and create one Burst at time 0 (same tab). Then play the ParticleSystem whenever the hammer comes down.
