Modeling performance
Hello everyone, I was wondering if my game or animation will have a performance effect if the models I use have shapes that stick into each other like say a cross that instead of using three shapes "1 vertical and 2 horizontal where no shape would stick into each other. but if I just used 2 "1 Vertical, 1 Horizontal" the horizontal would be crossing through the vertical would that decrease the performance? Is it bad?
in fact technically, the second way is more efficient, since it uses less geometry... but it would take A LOT more geometry than this to have a noticeable effect
