Make some meshes be lighted as one
Hi :)
I got a model of a man imported from blender and this model has some meshes: hands, arms, shoulders, etc. I made it this way beacuse I need to hide (disable) some parts of the body on run time, as you can see at the first photo:

The problem is that every mesh is lighted like "individually" from the others and this makes you see the line that divides the meshes, as you can see at the next photo:

Then my question is: How can I make the meshes behave like one with the lighting?
Thank you and sorry for my english
Did you modify the smoothing groups after you cut up the mesh? If you have set up the smoothing groups of the whole mesh and then cut it up, the normals should stay the same.
I don't know what the smooth groups are but it sounds really well. Give me a moment to investigate it and try it this way and I tell you the results :)
No way :( Smoothing the model before cuting the meshes doesn't work. When I separate the mesh the edge that divides the new meshes become double (one per each mesh) and every mesh gets shaded on its own. Normals are the same but the normals dont act in shading matters.
I've been trying to smooth two meshes at the same time but it's impossible. I've found people who tried this looking for help in other web pages but the answers were helpless :(
Thank you anyway :) Any other idea?
