Compiler Error CS1525

Hi guys,

I lost my thread and am currently unable to find it again ... -.-

I solved most of the issues. It was kinda weird bracketing (is this an english word? :-D)

anyway ... one issue remains:

CS1525(46,15): Unexpected Symbol 'private'
using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic;

public class Targetting : MonoBehaviour {

public List <Transform> targets;
public Transform SelectedTarget;
private Transform myTransform;

// Use this for initialization

void Start ()
{
     targets = new List <Transform> ();
     AddAllEnemies ();
     SelectedTarget = null;
     myTransform = transform;

}

public void AddAllEnemies()
{
     GameObject[] go = GameObject.FindGameObjectsWithTag("Enemy");

     foreach (GameObject enemy in go)
         AddTarget (enemy.transform);

}

public void AddTarget(Transform enemy)
{
     targets.Add(enemy);

}

private void SortTargetsByDistance()
{
             targets.Sort (delegate(Transform t1, Transform t2) {
                     return(Vector3.Distance (t1.position, myTransform.position).CompareTo (Vector3.Distance (t2.position, myTransform)));
             });

private void TargetEnemy();
{
     if (SelectedTarget == null)
         {
         SortTargetsByDistance();
         SelectedTarget = targets[0];
         }

     else
         {
             int index = Targetting.IndexOf(SelectedTargets);
             if(index < targets.Count - 1)
                 {
             index++;
                 }
             else
                 {
                 index = 0;
                 }
             SelectedTarget = targets[index];
         }

}
}

// Update is called once per frame
void Update () {

     if (Input.GetKeyDown (KeyCode.Tab))
         {
         TargetEnemy();
         }
}

}
FYI: the only thing I had to change was to add a '(' in line 43. surprisingly this single bracket got me rid of 7 Compiler Errors, however I am unable to fix the last one ...

for the moderating people:

I am truly sorry about the mess I created, with creating another thread about the same topic. If you feel that this or the other one is redundant, feel free and delete one of them (I'd rather see this thread alive as it's the question that I need solved actually)

and again thanks for all answers

Here's a hint... look back from the line mentioned and see where you see the word "private". Then look around it to see if you can see anything wrong.

This sort of error is usually due to mismatched {} or () somewhere...

I know and if I hadn't checked for that I wouldn't have posted it at all. However, I can understand this comment, as I was reading alot about this questions and lot of people come over here and tell I have a mistake, fix it... probably I should've mentioned that I checked :-D

I also think that right above the line of question a } is missing, but IF I add it, a lot more errors come up and torture me, I can't create any function in another, right?

When looking at my script: Line 39 is where the error occurs and i think it should be a } before, to close the private void SortTargetsByDistance()

But, while typing this, it occurs to me, that if this function must be closed there, I should check elsewhere for misplaced {}... Thanks a lot for helping :-)
