Simple Fade Out Script Help

Hello,

I am trying to create a script that will fade my splash screen out to my Main Menu so that it looks a little smoother. I've been working on it, but I really am not spectacular with code and have no idea where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

I like this tutorial: Fade in, fade out. You essntially want some kind of texture to cover your camera and to modify the alpha over time.
