Can I use Unity Remote 4 on Note II?

I've spent several hours now trying to connect my Note II to Unity and I'm just at a loss.

• All the drivers seem to be correctly installed, there are no errors in the device manager.

• When I run chrome://inspect/#devices I can see my device there.

• I've tried MTP and PTP connection modes

• I've got developer options on, and I've made sure to select "stay awake", "USB Debugging" and "Allow Mock Locations".

• I've tried all the different permutations of opening Unity, plugging in the phone, opening Unity Remote, many times over

Is there any way to troubleshoot this? I feel like I've run out of things to try.
