Using a 'structured' dds-file {Atlas} for UI?
Hello! I have the following image which I want to use as 'decoration' for my UI:
But how you can see the different elements are arranged seperatedly. I know that this is common in many games (I extracted the file from my favourite one), but I don't know how I could work with that in Unity, so I hope you can give me somte advices how such textures are used in Unity. ~Fevenius

Hi, correctly positioned GUI elements is the whole answer, you will have to write a structure for game items and textures for the system to work. I wrote a short and simple introduction/sample to whole this process (to understand the logic itself), you can check it out here: http://armedunity.com/topic/6721-basic-idea-of-creating-any-item-list-in-game/
Thanks for your answer! But I don't know why I should use should a structure for game items/textures {I read your article). I only want to display all the GUI-Elements of the dds-file horizontally next to each other. The interface should be shown the whole time, but the values and so on are only item [unit]-depending. ~Fevenius
