Adding an exsiting sprite sheet and some other png images to a new sprite sheet
I am working on creating particle particle effects. at run time I see up to 8 batches running. Currently I am using one sprite sheet containing 49 smoke images. This is 1792 X 1792. My two png images are 1000 X 1000 each. I have read that if i put all these into one large image, Unity will reduce the number of batches used and also it will be less work on the GPU/CPU and will increase frame rate. 1. Is this true? Can someone explain this briefly as I am new to unity. 2. How do I add all above as 1 image and get Unity to use that image at run time.
