Can't manually rotate bones in inspector or through script.
Hi,
I have a humanoid rig and i want to pose the fingers onto an object through script, but i cannot. I can't change the orientation/rotation of finger bones in inspector too, until and unless i turn off the animator component.
The layers have an avatar mask and i have disabled the hands on the avatar mask. Still, the finger bones don't rotate.
I tried doing it through scripting aswell, in lateupdate. However, it still doesn't work.

I ran into this problem before, and figured out that you can not animate a rig by simply changing its GameObject transform, what you was trying to change in the inspector is the transform of the bones GameObject, not the bone itself. So you will have to animate it in an animation software.

What about IK then? IK is applied on top of animation or post animation.
