Does the grass brush impair performance?
If I have a ton of grass in my scene, created with the Terrain Generation tool, won't ta lag up the game? That many images moving at once? Please keep in mind that I'm entirely new to Unity.

I have found that using a lot of grass, does in fact, slow down my game. You could set it to billboard with no movement, which will remove almost all data requirement to have them on the scene.
What about a bunch of trees? I know Slender was made with Unity and that contained a lot of trees, yet it was a smooth game?
Again, just make them billboard. No bend, no wind, no movement. They were very small trees, along with a small player and small objects. That in itself would have stripped most demand away.
