Duplicating skinned mesh increase draw call ?
hi,i want to make crowd for my game and used two kinds of animation ideal and walk . I have modeled character within 249 vertices with single uv and i rigged and skinned this character in maya with human ik and i have also import it to unity and made humanoid according to and applied mecanim animation and its work fine.
Now my question when i duplicate same mesh in hierarchy its increase draw calls as follows ..
1 character (Skinned Mesh) = 1 Draw Call 2 Character( Duplicate 1 character) = 2 draw call
Why unity batching batching is not working when i duplicate the same character ?
Note : 1. I have made this character within 249 vertices with single mesh according to unity mesh optimization documentation.
have test one thing without skinned mesh is not increasing draw call when i duplicate its draw call is saved by batching .
Please tell me how to save draw calls for skinned mesh its really helpful to increase my game performance.
