[Q] How do I make a light influence only one object?
We have a couple of objects which we would like to light individually. Is there a way to make sure an object is affected by only one particular light (or set of lights) and, preferably, that this light/set of lights does not affect other objects in the scene?
Kind of making lights local rather than global.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Use layers.
Assign a layer to each object. Then add as many light source you need then assign the layer to be lit up via Culing Mask.
So if Light1 should light up Cube1, then Cube1 gets layer Light1 and Light1 gets Light1 in culling mask. Then cube 2 wont receive light from light1
Hi Fafase,
Great concise answer, many thanks! We got it working!
