Do I need to add friction to both objects touching?
Hello-
I have a plane and a sphere, the sphere has a rigidbody with drag = 1. Do I need to apply a physic material with friction to both objects, or just one of the two, for friction to take effect?
Thank you

Friction always exists. If no physics material is present, default values are used.
The world doesn't turn into a frictionless vacuum just because you don't have a physics material anywhere.
