Unity 4.6.1 - MonoDevelop autocomplete not working?
Hi everyone! So two days ago I accidentally deleted my copy of Unity, I just went to the website and re-downloaded, now I opened some of my projects and I noticed that when I use MonoDevelop, it doesn't autocomplete anything, not ever transform. I had the same issue months ago and as everyone else I solved it by browsing and picking MonoDevelop on external tools manually, I tried that today multiple times and it did not work,I also check that autocomplete was ticked in MonoDevelop preferences. I have restarted too but still nothing, has anyone experienced this? Should I just re-install and hope it works?

This is a problem that comes up from time-to-time. There's already several good answers to this question, here's one: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/416662/mono-develop-lost-autocompletion-and-refactoring.html
Generally, if I delete the project files (csproj & sln), then Resync the project, the autocomplete comes back to life.
I ended up recreating the project and it worked, apparently it had to do with the project itself.
Yes, the project is really just the CSProj files and the library. But you can always create a new one by dropping your Assets folder into a new folder and opening that with Unity.

I had the same problem recently after I had created a new project in Unity and started editing its scripts. I solved it with the help of this answer.
Sorry that it looks like I just repeated what Thom said. :) As I'm new here my answer was waiting in the moderation queue. Glad the problem was solved! This is an annoying problem, but luckily the solution is simple.
