Serious scaling and unit size issues.
Hi im having alot of problems with configuring 3ds max and unity to correct scales. Ive set 3ds max to work in 'cm'.
I created a 3m (300 cm) cube in 3ds max and exported it as a .fbx
Upon importing this 3 meter block into unity i expected it to be taller than an fps or 3rd person controller and around the height of the ceiling of a room.
Instead its about the size of a toe and i cant figure out why. this is a big issue as the game were working on alredy relies on a real size 1meter unit scale.

Just change the import setting on your model. In most cases a 10^x factor should be used.
ya that did it thanks. I figured it might be somthing along those lines.
Especially since i export .obj from max into blender then paint in blender and reexport back to max and .fbx then rexport from max as .fbx to unity...
... i kno its redicilous. but i reallly love how easy the texture painting and weighting parameters is in blender. i just hate modeling in it/
