detect target using variable

i am building a tower defense game and I want my towers to look for a enemy using a overlay sphere and a variable.

in steps I want the target to be determined in this order 1. check if it's an enemy 2. check if obstacle between tower and target 3. check current path object 4. check distance to next path object

Questions about overlapsphere have been asked many times. Unity Answers is not the place to share your design and wait for code to be written; checking for a tag of Enemy is one of the basic things covered in any Unity 101 tutorial; using Raycast for LoS has been discussed over and over again;

If you have a specific question, please ask it, otherwise consider posting this in the forums under collaboration
