How do you make a web page come up without quitting your Unity game?
Hi, all. I am creating an iOS game where I want the player to be able to touch an object and that action will open a web page right on top of the game (maybe like a GUI window) but the game will not be minimized or exited. I still want the game to be in the background so that when the website is closed, the game is still right there for the player to pick up right where he left off.
I understand that the command to open a web page (site) is: Application.OpenURL ("http://www.google.com/"); But I don't want Safari to open. I just want a simple browser to view and interact with the page.
Is this possible and if so, how do I script it in Javascrip?
Thanks so much!!!

It's not possible. Safari is the web browser on iOS, so OpenURL will launch Safari to load the page. If you don't want a browser window to appear, implement the page you want to appear using GUI components.
@Graham Dunnett, is what you mean; I must create a GUI window with a static image of the website and be unable to browse it? Otherwise I must use Safari with iOS?
I think I understand what you mean, I just want to be absolutely sure I can't do what I really want to do before I do it the way of my second choice.
Thanks so much. $$anonymous$$
