iOS Profiler: What to look for
My 2D game runs great on Android, but is running poorly on iOS. The sprites are distored and some aspects are running very slow.
I have profiler running on my MAC / iPod but I'm not sure what to look for. There is obviously a lot of information there. Everything ran great on Android first time around so haven't spend much time in profiler.
Question: What are some key stats that i should watch for in profiler. What would be considered too high for things like draw calls or memory usage? What other stats could be pointing to my issue?
Thanks
"running poorly" is a broad description. Taking a long time to load the scene? Stuttering? Generally low FPS in-game? What were the specs of the Android/iOS devices you're comparing?
This youtube video shows my game running on an iPod 5th Gen and a Galaxy S6. Its hard to describe what is happening. The builds are identical however. The FPS seems fine on the iPod but the images are distorted.
I've also tried this game on over 10 different android devices and didn't have any issues.
The following Android devices tested this game without problems:
Samsung Galaxy S3 (d2can) $$anonymous$$otorola $$anonymous$$oto G (falcon_umts) LGE L-01F (g2) LGE LG G3 (g3) Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (gt58wifi) Samsung Galaxy S4 (jfltecan) Samsung Galaxy S5 (kltecan) $$anonymous$$otorola $$anonymous$$oto E (surnia_umts) Samsung Galaxy Note
