Why does collapsing sprite renderer make objects not draggable in scene view?
Is this just me?

So you can edit polygon colliders without the gizmos getting in the way. http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/class-PolygonCollider2D.html

Actually... while I'm working on my custom gizmos, I believe it has to do more with this:
"This function does not get called if the component is collapsed in the inspector."

So it is a part of the API, and since they're using their own component logic for those... the base API says "no gizmos for you" while the component is collapsed.
