Help with 3DS.

I'm using a trial version of 3DS for my game. My game is has 1 character model which I've downloaded off the net and I can watch the tutorials on how to do animations for the biped. I just don't know if you can mend the biped and model together because I can't tell if the model is just static and its legs can't move.

Does models like ones you download have a biped automatically because I think I have to centre the two (biped and model) after I capture an animation and then get the model to sync with it.

And also how do you edit a model. I want to edit the face and clothes. Everything else is just fine.

Thank you.

This forum is for Unity specific questions only. For 3DS questions ask on a 3DS forum

for the record, 3ds max is a comprehensive modelling/animation tool, you will need to invest some real effort to get started, this will not come overnight.. you could start by checking out every tutorial you can find on the web..

also for the record, you can't legitimately use anything created using the trial 3ds, it's just for educational purposes
