2D animation in 3D environment
I'm making a 2D strategy game and I'm using quite a lot Unity modules for AI, tweening etc. At some point I have started experiencing some major issues with my 2D framework - Orthello 2D. The problem is that it persistently uses XY plane, while most of the other modules works in XZ plane. That means I can't manage a path finding and movement tweening without making significant adjustments. And God knows how many problems it will cause in the future.
Could someone suggest me more flexible 2D animation tools? I need one that just creates a 2D animation and gives me a possibility to create a sprite and position it in the way I want. I think SpriteWorkshop can do the trick but I saw some negative reviews of it and it would be good to have some other alternatives.
Thanks in advance!
What does the question have to do with the title? I see nothing to do with 2d animation in 3d in your question???
It's pretty obvious what it has to do with the title. He's doing stuff that looks like 2D in the 3D model. So things like sprites, which seem to animate only in the XY plane, need to animate on the XZ plane. What's not to understand?
