Can you hide a custom icon for a script in the scene view?

Hello,

I've added an icon to one of my scripts (as per this). It shows the icon in the Add Component menu and Inspector, which is what I want, but it also shows it in the Scene view, which I do not want. Is there a way (perhaps via scripting?) to remove the icon from the scene view?
