Settings/skills not carrying over to build

Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble when I try and build my game.

I'm making a racing game, and in the game you can increase your skills by doing certain tasks and such. These skills affect how fast you can go, your turning, etc. Everything works fine when I'm testing, if I start off with a low speed, my player will only go so fast, if I start off with a higher speed, he'll go faster. They only problem is that, whenever I build the game, none of that works. The skills don't seem to have any effect.

It'll probably be hard to help out without seeing my code, but if anyone has any general things that I could try, that would be awesome.
