Privacy: Can a compiled Unity game be linked to the author?
When using Unity, you can login or work in offline mode. I'm wondering if anybody knows if there is anything in a compiled Unity game (desktop and mobile) that can link the game to the author/compiler?
Obviously if you put your name or company in there (eg, package name, splash image etc) or distributed some identifying files with the game you could, but I'm thinking more about anything that is hidden away in Unity or MonoDevelop that isn't obvious. Perhaps some metadata is compiled into the code with an identifier that could be traced?
There are two reasons I'm thinking of that this could be important:
An original author/compiler could prove (albeit, tenuously) that the game was made by them
A game made as political/corporate satire could be traced back to the author/compiler by a not so friendly government/employer
