How to speed up deceleration?
I am using the default FPS character script on a 3D platformer, with a character running at quite high speeds. I need to allow for more accurate jumps to platforms, but after running the character decelerates slowly. He keeps sliding in the direction i was running/jumping for short while, during witch he is hard to control. I'm going for a high-speed arcade-like experience so here's my question: How do i make it so that my character stops moving immediately as i stop pressing the forward button (obviously this shouldn't apply to when the character is airborn)
You need to apply friction when the character is on the ground.
