Can you give me some suggestion of saving and loading the object?
Hello,
Im using Vuforia in my AR project.
I want to save the Objects/Prefabs in runtime, i have used XML(http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php?title=File:XML.zip) and Unity Serializer (http://whydoidoit.com/).
In XML , i cannot get the texture of the object as a string in XML ,i can get the xyz data only, also i cannot load the XML data for set the object in the sense in runtime.
In Unity Serializer, i cannot load the data successfully.
So, does anyone can give me some another method that i can save and load the objects/Prefabs in runtime?
Thank you
You can use SerializeHelper, a free asset I made myself that allows users to save and load gameobjects and other data, and also is extensively commented so it can, and should, also be used to learn serializing and building your own save game feature if more functionality is needed.

As an alternative to XML you may want to look into Thrift. It's a strongly typed serialization (and also remoting) cross-platform solution. You define your transport/persistence structure via special IDL files and autogenerate C#, Java, or whatever code for you. The C# one is Unity ready.
