Using adaptive tonemapping along with day-night cycle

How to correctly setup tonemapping to work at day as well as at night. Currently all I'm able to do is to set it manually as the lighting changes. I could probably automate the process and change values basing on sun position but the lets say I have an interior with artifical light. I don't want interiors lighting to depend on time of the day. Does someone know how to tackle it?

Try using a time system? Like when it reaches a certain time (base the sun on it too) then the tonemapping changes or something like that?

The thing is, I don't want the tonemapping to change but always use same values ins$$anonymous$$d. I'm talking about eye adaptation obviously. $$anonymous$$aby I shouldn't even use tonemapping for this task.
