Is there any kind of Bitmap API available?
I'm working on a drawing tool, and I'm missing an API to work with bitmaps (texture2D).
There are the getPixels/setPixels methods, but I find them a bit too primitive. I was wondering if there are any API for bitmap operations, to draw a texture into another texture, taking into account the alpha values, accepting a matrix transformation etc...
As someone with a Flash background, I would that what I'm looking for is something like the BitmapData.draw()
Any suggestions?
Yes, it's called Direct3D, OpenGL or OpenGL ES, depending on your platform ;)
But it seems to be a bit too low-level... :)
I'm currently reading through shader documentation, looks like Graphics.Blit() passing a material is the way to go, but I was expecting to find something more "comfortable" to work with.
